I grew up in the cozy little town of Karlstad, MN. I graduated from North Dakota State University in 1997 with a degree in Interior Design. My first job out of college was at the NDSU Alumni Association (Go Bison!). My internship and first design job was at Ste. Marie Design, a hospitality firm, where I learned and practiced commercial and hospitality design until the firm closed its Fargo branch in 2002. I found employment with a builder and then a design center where I discovered a love of residential design and new construction. During these years, I passed the NCIDQ exam to become a certified interior designer. These various positions gave me the experience needed to realize my dream of owning my own business! I think, for any parent, balancing work and home life is a difficult juggling act. While I love being an interior designer, I love being a mom even more. Owning my own business gives me the flexibility to balance (or juggle) both! I am a volunteer for various organizations including serving as a confirmation guide at church. I am also a board member of the Home Builder's Association, a member of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber, North Dakota Interior Designers, and serve on the Events Committee at the Home Builders Association. Outside of work and volunteer activities, I love being with my family. My husband Phil, and our three sons are my great crew of boys! Our oldest, Griffin, is in grad school at MSU Mankato. Our middle, Marcus, is a sophomore at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Our youngest, Henry, is a 9th grader at Davies High School. When we aren't at kiddo activities, I enjoy reading a book or magazine and look forward to a trip or two each year.

We absolutely LOVE our home and at least twice a week we make that proclamation. You know I had my reservations going into this remodel and you assured me that we would make it the home we wanted to be at. You did not disappoint! We use every room in the house and it flows so well. Your furniture planning was spot on and the decor is to die for! We really, really love that our remodeled cabin now feels like Home.

She was extremely supportive in helping us pick out everything we needed from light fixtures & window coverings to flooring and even the color of the rooms. Not only did she space plan EVERYTHING so that my furniture fit perfectly, she was able to ensure my young family of three boys under 5 at the time had what they needed and I was able to have some girly touches. Monica Hart is easily the best designer in the tristate area and I have recommended her countless times to my colleagues and friends. She made my life easier, and this was the easiest money I ever spend and I would do it all over again tomorrow.
